DZK – Pneumatic suspended shunting locomotive

Compact power. Precision and operational safety.

The DZK suspended shunting locomotive is an explosion-proof pneumatic transport unit from Becker MineTrans®, designed for transporting machine components, equipment and materials over short distances in underground mining operations.

Thanks to its rack drive system and compressed air supply, DZK ensures high tractive effort, precise maneuvering and full operational safety in methane-hazardous zones.

The unit can operate independently or cooperate with other Becker MineTrans transport systems, providing reliable support for maintenance and assembly operations underground.

Technical specification

Parameter Value
Drive type rack (gear drive)
Tractive effort 33.5 kN (at 0.6 MPa) / 22 kN (at 0.4 MPa)
Travel speed up to 0.6 m/s
Maximum track inclination ±30°

New generation of pneumatic drive

DZK combines the simplicity and reliability of pneumatic drive with high operational culture and easy service handling.

The applied pneumatic motor drives a gear wheel cooperating with a BWTU-type rack rail, ensuring stable and reliable traction even on inclinations up to ±30°.

The pneumatic system is integrated into the frame in a way that allows quick disassembly, maintenance and component replacement.

Intelligent features and safety
